I'd wanted one of these since I'd seen them, when I was very young, so I trained long and hard (a good month or so :P ) to become MCH, and came back to Rori.
I was searching on my swoop for a good couple of hours, I was just about to give up hope, when I found a torton nest! I approched it with the scent mask, when it's dad attacked me, so I killed it and tried again, approaching slowly, and tamed it ^_^
Then, to replace it's Dad, another Beebie came along! I tamed it and now I have 2 Tortons!! ^_^

for such a HUGE pet, with a shell on its back, u would expect for it to have much better resists :(

LOL... indeed. How's this for a wild dream: Torts as mountable battle platforms, able to carry one of three loadouts: a shield generator; a heavy-weapons turret; or a four-man battle platform. Sigh....

This one is definitely on my "must get" list. One more yellow box will do it for me then Soupy will be mine :)

I live on Rori, and I solo hunt these frequently. They're level 38 to 42+ missions, worth about 10,600 credits. Nice, big targets for an elite-level character. I'm not quite high-enough level as a Creature Handler as yet to tame babies, but you can figure on at least two babies to spawn per lair.

Awesome-looking creature with the Dizzy/Knockdown combo. Knockdown on pets is broken, though, right?

I've been thinking of going to Rori to hunt these for Rifleman XP. Thanks for the tip. Isn't there a species that is not aggressive?

Good place to find ANY TYPE of Torton is near the Pygmy Torton Cave.

Go to Rori, rebel outpost, pick NW missions that are about 10k-11k. You will probably have to be grouped. They are agg, so use mask scent. I think these are excellent pets, but should be updated to have something like 15k HAM, and more kinetic resist. I mean, it's a giant turtle, with a huge shell! lol. They shake the ground when they follow you, so you have to get used to that. CH's don't use these a whole lot, so a lot of players are fascinated by them. I was killde by them many times while doing commando lol.

Haqin Thu Apr 8 2004 7:06:00 AM
They are not rare at all. Get a mission for them, the only 10k missions on Rori that I kow of, and each lair spawns at least one baby, moe often than not 2 and sometimes 3!
Dragoran Wed Apr 7 2004 7:13:00 PM
This has been on my wish list for awhile. How rare are they really? Seems like a good combo... both dizzy and knockdown on one creature!
