I believe I have just found out how to get the Master Taming Necklace.....not that it matters anymore, but this is the combination: warmly glowing magseal detector
few warmly glowing slpinters
warmly glowing metallic eye

Finally got one! after at least 6 lost babies, i managed to keep one out for half an hour thru about 10 aggroes from it and got it. BTW, how do u get an ability from a pet if it came with one and u want to teach it to others?

Just got my first one, talk about trying to find a needle in the haystack! Mine's called Mr Fluffy :o) can't wait to try him out when he's fully grown.
Unknown Fri Apr 8 2005 4:58:00 AM
i got mine a few days ago.
called him out (i suppose he is a male :) ) near spawns but nothing happens.he stands next to me and does nothing except the idle animations. maybe i have to wait until hes fully grown to see the phenomena mentioned by negra.

its probably from its Agressiveness or maybe the "random" creatures are attacking it

I have a BE rancor and while i am just standing there be it be calling my vechicle or calling other pets.. My rancor will bolt off after a random creature, this angers me exspecially when it attacks nightsisters etc... if any1 knows of a way to fix this I would greatly appreciate this ty

Ness_Gorath Fri Nov 19 2004 8:01:00 PM
roha pack leader is the rare onew that you got so right there it is valuable and worth holding onto besides its also a great pet a blurg is the same but you can clone a blurrg so they arnt as valuable. webmaster is cool but spiders arnt great tanks and rancors are common sissy pants who run away alot. but anyway i say get 2 level 35 pets like 2 giant anglers or grual maulers or mature hanadak rock smashers for pve 2 heads is better then one.
Dragoran Tue Nov 16 2004 1:47:00 PM
Okay... so which of these level 50 pets is the best to have? I have a Rancor, Rhoa Kwi Pack Leader, Arachne Webmaster, and a Blurrg. Opinions and why do you think your opinion is best. I'm talking basic hunting here, not PVP.

I just tamed my first Rancor baby last night. I was with a group hunting Enranged Rancors and it was the only Rancor baby we saw. I ran over and actually tamed it on the first try. I was as surprised as anyone else. I was just out for CH xps and he was like a present so I named him Santa.
amorlatino Wed Oct 6 2004 7:10:00 AM
He is SO slow to attack and to respond a command... I prefer my Rhoa Kwi Pack Leader

Excellent pet, easy to find. No wonder everybody has one of these.
tido Sat Aug 21 2004 4:20:00 PM
It seems my rancor is totally immune to disease stuff, it never gets diseased from bull rancor :). Best pet for those kind of situations.

WHat do you mean: Trick 2 while sitting is peek-a-boo....or as some of us call it the "Bad Boy!" trick, lol
Sathimi Mon Jul 26 2004 3:02:00 PM
um, It should take a master rifleman about 10 seconds to take down one of these, if that.
RogueJedi86 Sat Jul 24 2004 2:37:00 AM
Not too hard to take down. My novice rifleman and a master rifleman took down these things in only 1-2 minutes of head shots.
Gua Sat May 15 2004 6:44:00 AM
Ha haha, yeah trick 2 makes them clap thier hands, so I sometimes make mine do it right over a lair just when I make it blow up. People that see this are often quite astonished, because they think he smacked it and made it explode lol.
Apoub Thu Apr 15 2004 7:19:00 PM
They don't play peekaboo, vondi, sorry :(. I tamed two of these about 500m away from the sarlacc, that's where I've had the most luck finding them. Nice resists and damage, definitely a winner. (Plus it's just cool to have one.)
vondi Sat Apr 10 2004 5:43:00 AM
I read some comments on the Graul and they said you could make it shake the ground by peting it until it sat down and then do Trick 1. I can tell you, this works with Rancors as well. :) Can't wait to get Trick 2 and see if it does peek-a-boo too. :)
ipggi Wed Mar 24 2004 4:23:00 AM
I took a small group of uber guys on a rancor-baby hunt today. In less than an hour I tamed 3 of these. hehe. Great pets, they are almost as strong as a level 69 bio-engineered graul that a friend worked very hard to make for me. :) Definately a winning wild pet to have!
TROLL Mon Mar 8 2004 6:33:00 AM
TThose pets are amazing! I have used them in many fight and they get diseased often and not really affected by it. Very effective tanker aganist disease strikes.
Sundell Mon Feb 9 2004 4:46:00 PM
Of the Rancors i have 1 is tempermental, one runs right after he attacks and one will go out of the way it seems to provoke an attack.
