Close combat creatures
I believe reptillian fliers might be the fastest. I've got three mature reptillian fliers (found on Dathomir, lvl 20) and they'll catch up to a swoop. I don't know if a be'd version of a flier is possible though. Granted, I don't think you'd want them for cave/building fighting.

Yeah I agree. Those flying creatures are the fastest. Too bad BEs can't make any flying creatures (right?).
To Koireu: I guess I'll have to do some testing then :!: Unfortunately, I can only call up one pet ATM... Maybe I'll write up a guide when I can call up two pets. :D

I'll try that too. the first one there can post their findings (if anyone already can pull 2+ pets and happens to have a cat and dog pet, feel free to comment ;))
On a side note, are their any creature mounts that are faster than the rest? Slower than the rest?

Kaadus and carrion spats are the fastest. I am not sure about Ku Pas and others that became available for mounts after publish7, but I think Kaadus are still the fastest among the mounts.
Some people prefer Dewbacks for their mounts, but I personally think using an uber Kaadu makes more sense as they are faster. But they still cannot keep up with my speeder...

Thanks for the info, I'm sure they couldn't keep up, w/ your speeder, I'm more interested in outrunning that TKA and being able to shoot then anything else. I know I don't get special attacks on a beasts back, but i get NO attack from a speeder :)

Someone mentioned BE's making fliers. You're right, we can't. That is the most asked for template from the BE's perspective. Also, there are limits for levels on pets, For instance a BE could make three level 20 pets that are a strong as a rancor and a ch could call all three but the lowest level a rancor can go is 35. Kimo is 40. I have made many 500ham kimos for show that are all cl40 yet the 4k ham banthas are only cl10.

Just remember that your mount will slow down when you enter combat. You might not be able to outrun a TKA due to your mount slowing down when you open fire.
