How does vulnerablity and effectivness factor in?

Postby Stalker » Wed May 12, 2004 7:25 am

From what I have seen there are 3 types of resistance categories,

1. Vulnerability, I am fairly sure this gives no protection
2. Effectivness either gives a small boost to the resists or does nothing.
3. Special Protection This is the best and I know it gives some kind of a boost to the pet.

Could anyone tell me how much a pet resists changes when it has special protection and ex.

Just to correct one small point. As far I know, Vulnerabilities actually take [i:84008068b6]more[/i:84008068b6] damage for that damage type. Not sure off-hand of the percentage, but I think it's something like 25%-50% more damage received.

if a creature is vul. , then all armor they have goes away. for instance, say you are fighting nightsister bob, who has heavy armor. hes vul to stun tho, so when you nail him with your geo pistol, its like he has NO armor. an effectiveness is exactly the same as special protection. (not for be's tho)

hope that helps
