Are these things really worth it? Cuz I want one really bad. Should I get one, or some other type of Merek?

Fuzzgau Sat Oct 16 2004 4:58:00 PM
The first Bleh I ever tamed was in wooded mountains nearby the northern outpost. The 2nd was right outside the Battlefield in the desert where I mentioned it took me ALOT of tame attempts but fortunatly the baby was within the battlefield and unable to attack. I found this to be right up there with the rares and compared to the screecher was harder to get - but much easier to kill, Merek's commonly have energy weakness.

added comment btw wp was on corbantis -2163 2423 and yes it was in the forest
irocz Sat Oct 16 2004 3:04:00 PM

irocz Fri Oct 15 2004 4:04:00 PM
started my official search today .....see how long these guys take
Fuzzgau Thu Sep 30 2004 5:52:00 PM
Dont know why it was marked as having a range attack..Bleh's dont have one..just flat out the highest damage of any tamables(so far...) with bleh resists heh)
johncooperii Wed Sep 15 2004 7:46:00 AM
I caught a Merek Death's Head a couple months ago and when trying to train it (I am a Master CH) was not given the option of training it the Ranged Attack command thus I question whether or not this creature has a ranged attack or if it is a game bug.....can anyone else confirm this ?
Ocelot Kane Fri Sep 10 2004 4:51:00 PM
They don't have very high resists to anything, like the Arachnees, but their strong posion probably makes up for it.

got mine tonight...on my 6th lair...assasins and deathheads...saw the green circle on the second spawn after the first tap...expected it to be an assassin, but i was pumped when i targeted a baby dh...unequipped my rifle stored my gurreck, ate an almond crisp and went to tmae it..it aggro'ed me on the first attempt, but fortunately that got it away from the lair so i was just surrounded by yellow dot red circles, so nothing else joined in. it kept running away from me but i got it on the 5th try..i had really wanted one of these. it's been a good week , got a screecher 2 days ago...now i need a widow..and a gps..lol

Well after 2 days of looking I picked up my Merek Death's Head, yesterday from a wild spawn with 3 Death's Heads and one Blood Drenched. Took the Lair almost to 0 hp when there the baby was. Not only did I get a Death's Head though, after being fuel by my latest catch I went to dath and found a kinad Baz Nitch and a Gaping Queen. Now all that are left on my list are the 2 toughies, Great Plains Stalker and the Bull Rancor. I have already looked for the bull Rancor for 3 days with no avail, so I am going to start on the Great Plains Stalker today.

Sounds like a good combo Optek. I'm on Scylla. What slots do you put the Death Head and Harvester DNA on the template yet keep strong poison and disease.
optek fybers Mon Aug 23 2004 11:17:00 PM
I can sample this guy fairly easy, MBE w/BE scent clothing. I make CL44-45 creatures all the time with his DNA and harvesters, my customers love the strong disease/strong poison combo combines with the 60%Kinetic resist.
I'm on Bria...
dragon90 Mon Aug 2 2004 4:01:00 PM
great little pet besides resists,im trying to have a bio-engineer make me a merek using this ones DNA for specials and damage and a harvestor's for resists (75% kinetic) should make for a good combo if my BE can get close enough to one of these guys to actually sample them =P
stigmata Fri Jul 30 2004 2:15:00 PM

I was able to tame another Bleh(death head heh) right outside the battlefield in the endor desert. The nest(Delirous merek avenger/death heads.)was practically right up against one of the poles. Killed many adult Bleh's till finally a baby walked out and ran into the battlefield. It took me '13' times to tame it - and fortunatly the battle field was preventing aggro. Someone said it once before and i agree..endor has a wierd taming thing going - creature show no ferocity for some reason. Either was happy to get another Bleh)
Oh yeah, I've seen 2 all death head nests so far) - just no babies from either.
Luuman Wed May 26 2004 3:46:00 PM
I just managed to tame one on Intrepid at -2086 2638. I had to clear out about three harvesters and two death hands before the baby spawned.
Fuzzgau Sat May 22 2004 6:26:00 AM
Ok, after having no luck with the widows..figured I'd try for another Bleh and was able to take a few spots down (adding to sightings) But generally I always saw them west of the smugglers outpost and despite what AstralDragon said..in the desert. I was messing with a nest in the desert that was spawning a Assassin/Death head cycle, but no luck. Blew up the nest and had the usual Suprise Goodbye party chasing me onto my bike, LOL (you most likely know what that is but if not it consists of 4 - 5 battelords and one boss creature, a king or queen merek)
Eiwam Sun May 16 2004 10:01:00 AM
Fuzzgau, waypoint would be nice if you have one, thanks!
Fuzzgau Wed May 12 2004 8:50:00 PM
I was able to tame a baby in the woods near the smuggler's outpost. They basically share their lairs with other types of merek(I tend to see them with assassins and harvesters) Seems to have the most damage of any of the wild tamable pets, out of the ones I've seen. Resists are kinda, Bleh(
IRONmonkey Wed May 12 2004 11:54:00 AM
I tamed one of these a while back, but I destroyed it 'cause I thought the battlelord was better...*dOh* what a big mistake
Astral Dragon (Flurry) Sun Apr 18 2004 4:08:00 AM
you can find these just north of the farthest south larger lake... i know it sounds wierd but thats where they are.. i'm not on that planet so i cant give wp. you wont find these on the desert they're forest only. i have one and helped 3 other friends get them.
Apoub Sat Apr 17 2004 12:21:00 PM
These do not spawn out of mission lairs in my experience. There are a bunch of these mereks in the desert north of the smuggler outpost on endor.
Scifiman Fri Mar 26 2004 11:49:00 PM
Any new loc sightings for Death Head babies would be appreciated.
Husarz Wed Mar 17 2004 3:33:00 AM
I tamed 2 of those and some other mereks.. One day i was needing space in datapad so i destroyd those becouse i mistaked me... DOH >
Diakonov Mon Feb 2 2004 2:30:00 AM
Seems to be more of a trophy pet than anything. Still, light armor and 10% resists is like a 60% resist pet with no armor. Not bad at all =)
Juntao Thu Dec 18 2003 10:07:00 AM
Interesting. Resists are not that spectacular, but looks like it might be a decent damage pet. Has strong poison and strong disease, very nice!
Quilha Thu Dec 18 2003 12:16:00 AM
These are now producing babies after the 12/16/03 patch. Enjoy :)
