Hmmm good question... Rifles, carbines and pistols all have HAM costs to do any of their special moves. I think it jus depends on you're style of gameplay :) As a master Rifleman most of my specials hammer my mind bar, so getting a musicans/dancers buff is a must otherwise i drink brandy and eat can...

Both the baby prowlers i've tamed were about 1000m West of the Smugglers OP (was lookin for mereks at the time) no exact w/p tho sorry

The first one was alone (!) and the 2nd was in a pack :)

i've jus tamed my 2nd Roa Kwi Pack Leader Baby (sweeet!)
he's gonna bash up Stormtroopers for me :D

i do know of someone last week taming a bull rancor baby tho (Europe-Chimera) , i will see if u can get them to post here too 8)
