I enjoy CH, immensely. It is definitely one of those professions you don't mindleveling, because you enjoy it so much. There are some things that are broken, but overall, it could be worse. Wookie:

Master Pikeman
Master Creature Handler
Novice Medic(mostly to heal my pets)
Scout 4/0/4/0
TKA 4/0/0/0 (gotta love the meditation healing of disease, wounds, bleeding, etc.)

When your animals reach adulthood?

I like cats. They will be my main cadre of creatures. :o

I have SP2 with my xp so pop-ups are a distant memory. :D

Wouldn't it be good for the pets to be able to feed on their kills?

You and your GPS take down a sharnaff, there sould be a command, let's call it FEED, to let the creature replenish it's energy. You still will be able to interact with the pet to heal it's mind, fatigue, wounds, etc.

Last night, became a Novice Creature Handler, while leveling Pikeman on Corellia. Immediately tamed a bagareset, then went to Tatooine to train 2 lesser dewbacks. Will use these guys soon to fight for more XP. What should I get next?

That would definitely make sense. Animals in real life use their roar, growl, or bark as a means of intimidation in combat. I think a roar from an animal in SWG, especially a powerful one like GPS, Kimoglias, fambaas, for example, should have the same effect as the warcry attack that players can use.

I've decided to take the plunge into CH with my Pikeman, which I love as a profession. As far as what's better? Well, that's subjective. I don't think you defeat any purpose of a profession as long as you enjoy yourself, and understand it's strengths and weaknesses. That's just my $0.02. I've seen C...
