Do I need to be Master BE go get light armor to stick?

Postby Edgecrusher » Mon Jun 21, 2004 4:15 pm

I cant for the life of me to get light armor to stick. Even when all 5 samples have Fortitute 600+ and exp into it, I get stuck with no armor what so ever. Im 2-0-4-0 in BE but I cant raise it anymore due to my template. Am I just wasting my time?

It will be very difficult without extra experimentation points. You have to push the second physique stat (fortitude?) to 500 for the pet to gain light armor.

The force sensitive experiment bonus [i:38d36e604b]might[/i:38d36e604b] be sufficient enough to give you the points you need if you can spare two or four skill points (or however it will work). Since we don't know much about it at this point, that is only speculation though.

I used to get Light armor pets when I wasn't master. I'm sure it can be done.

Not being a master is possible, yes. Having none of the experimentation line, doubtful.

HAHA Didn't even notice the empty experimentation line. Yeah, that really should be the first thing everyone gets in BE. :D

The second thing you get, I'd say ... work up Tissues first for better grinding items.

I got an rather half decent pet last night and i only got 2 experimation points

Turned out CL32: 8500/8200/8400 53% Kinetic 320-340 Damage with light armor and no specials (dunno how the specials didnt stick.. used same samples for aggression and psy and they were better quality then the others)

All you really need for making it stick is good dna and some luck.

And about the speccing, iwe worked up on OOxx first since tissue xp line, and i got lots of orders on non-ch bantha's so thought i get that since i dont really need lots of points to get an half decent level 10 pet.

oh you can you can :) you can get very decent pets right from novice BE, thats the nice thing about the proff. When I say nice, I mean nice for their level of course, perfectly salable especialy if the critter can be used as a mount.

Im having no trouble at all getting armour, Im using 5 HQ horned vorritor samples.. what I am having trouble with is the specials.. I have dna from the same donor in each slot all samples therefor say special 1 - strong poison, special 2 - poison spray and yet when I combine them I never get the poison spray attack (no matter where I put the points) . can anyone tell me why?

AOE (Area of Effect?) specials do not stick. So the following do not work in BE pets:

Poison spray
Plague strike
Force strike
Force blow
Area combo

Also, I believe Bleed attack does not stick either. So,

Open wounds

does not stick either.
