Pet LVL 229!?!

Ok so I bought a Kimogila today and tamed him. I got a box that asked me to either adjust his stats or lvl. I decided to do his lvl because I figured it would max at lvl 70 and since I was a MCH it would be no problem. Well I was wrong, it sent his max lvl to 229! Has anyone had any experience with this issue? He is currently at lvl 22 and I have a feeling once he gets over lvl 70 I won't be able to call him. =-/

I know with some creatures you can stop there growth at times, but I dont know about these. Let us know if your able to halt its growth when it get too high level.
