Pirated SWG

Hey, im trying to get ahold of some old CH, i've had some ideas to bring back SWGCreatures and, through enough cooperation and colaboration a pirated version of the old SWG...the same way limwire runs. They cant shut down limwire because it runs on a 'rebounding' server network (and it works around the globe) it would take some time, i would estimate at least a year, and the cooperation of those who have programing skills. the cooperation part is the hard part. i know some stuff about programming but im no expert. all it would take is the original files (Which i have) and the missing files not included on the disk (the ones on the SWG servers, the stuff we need programers to write) and put it together. because we would all be writing different files, we could use limewire to collect the finished files and put it together. also if the community were to put the word out on the net that people are working to create a pirate SWG network, it would make lucasarts consider re-introducing the old profession, so that they would not lose more money and have control again. thanks to our freedom of speach we can all talk freely on this site without fear of consiquence. more talk is better. anyone and everyone please put your input on this matter!!

That would be sweet, but where do we begin? I'm pretty handy with Visual Basic but I doubt that will do any good. Besides, I heard a rumor of a Pre-Cu style SWG2.

Well to begin we need to get together a team. no matter the overall skill level any bit of knowledge we can offer eachotehr would be great, afterall as long as we dont leak the plans too soon we can have real programers help us...and i know in my city programing is real big with younger people so it shouldnt be too hard to find some ppl with programing skills. but i know we can find alot of people on the net so i would start there, as i have, before we start looking up people in high school and college computer classes. also people that are big on other MMORPG's might have skills in programing. anyways wherever you heard the rumors of a pre-cu SWG2, unless it was a pirate SWG like i myself am trying to put together(in which case we need to find it), lucasarts would have announced somthing and/ or made a poll to decide wether or not to bring it back. also addressing the data-sharing problem we could use limewire to send it but we can only see files that are within our local area (how big that may be i dont know) so if we had people sharing the files in every are of the US we would all have access to the data we produce. also we should all keep a copy of the overall work completed so that if somone decides they want to drop out of the project we dont lose data they worked on. if we decide to e-mail some data we have to worry about the carnivore program. it was created by NSA in the 1970's-1980's era to spy on terror cells. anyways it now moniters all e-mails on the internet coming through the US. the goverment leases the internet to service providers. anyways this is a long message because im trying to address many of the top issues with starting a pirate network. it took limwire 1 year or so to be created...and it's been up since 1998. well anyone who has questions in general or specific topics lets please create multiple threads to discus on to keep messages short.[/size:f6509f4f72] personal/project security, programing tech support, and the politics involved with starting and running a pirate network are just some topics. now i dont want to flood Juntao's forums with all this so lets try and keep it condensed.[/size:f6509f4f72] all questions please direct twords the corrosponding thread.

Sweet. This rocks. Partially because I'll be able to be CH again, but also because alot of my friends said they'd play SWG if it was free, and it soon will be! HUZZA!
