This was the BE Question, but I thought it might interest everyone here:

It might be worth taking some of our wild pets with ranged attacks and seeing if we can determine their type. While difficult to assemble the information, this could warrent a damage type entry paired with ranged info. (Perhaps verfify for ourselves this is the case first.)
