Hi,

I was just wondering, as there's supposed to be a \"lesser\" version of each mountable pet, is there one for a Kaadu too ? Because I have never seen a Kaadu that is below lvl 10 and tameable. Females are 12 and Males are 14, and then there's another version (not sure what it's name was) that is in fact below lvl 10 but not tameable.
My friends are nagging my ears off for a Kaadu mount so if anyone could enlighten me here it would be greatly appreciated :-)

just give the kaadu to your non-CH friend and have him or her drag the kaadu onto an NPC creature handler trainer. it will turn into a level 10 generic kaadu :)

or get a novice be to make one out of gnort(or similar) dna..wil come in under 10 easy

This doesn't always work. I gave my guild mate a Cu Pa and had him do the trade in and he got back a Kwi. My friend found the deal to be amusing, I on the other hand was just a a bit peeved. Mainly because I hauled the cu pa around until it was able to be made into a mount. So IMHO if you want a certain type of Non-CH pet, then the best bet is to get a BE to make one.

that is a good point. I know that the kaadu trade works because I've done it before, but I'm not sure about the other creatures. sometime when I actually have free creature slots I want to grab a non-CH friend and try trading in various mountable animals to see what we get.

You will always get a kwi for a cupa, since cupas are not naturally below level 10 and kwi's have the same general shape as the cupa. I'd bet there is a direct translation table for each animal that is tradeable (cl 10-15) It would be nice to have that table listed. There is one kaadu that is below 10 (motley at cl-8 ) but it's not tamable...perhaps all you need is one version of the species to be below 10 for the trade in to work.

Thanks for clearing that issue up for me Xanth. I thought that when a non ch did the trade in, that they would get back the same type of pet, only with it's level set back to 10.
