I am in need of some help. It might not be what you think.

I asked Juntao and he said that I could do this.

I am writting a fanfic in which some EU canon characters meet up with a scout/creature handler who has become someone who studies creatures. At this time I am unable to play SWG because my sister owns the only computer in the house and won't allow it to be put on there because she has EQ on it. So I'm here asking for help from those who play the game.

A little background info: The story is set at the beginning of the Vong War. A mission to find a missing being uncovers a gang that still thinks pitfighting is a great sport. The gang uses both sentient and non-sentient beings. The scout had a run in with some of the members. She has a grand wrix and a greater sludge panther and the members wanted to buy them. She told them no and later they tried to steal them. Anyway, those trying to find the missing being (who is a princess of a planet) are told by a friend of hers and go to find her on Rori to ask her some questions because her supervisor, who is being paid by the gang, lost her complaint about the attempted theft. (btw: The princess missing is of an alien race I came up with and walks on four legs and is furry and strong, hence why she was choosen for pitfighting.)

Now, this is where you guys come in. Because I am unable to play the game all I know about the creatures in the game come from sites such as this. As such I am unable to really describe the animals in their natural settings or see how they interact in their enviroments.

I want to make sure my scout acutally sounds like one and is knowledgeable of creatures. She is from Corellia so she would know mostly about the creatures from Corellia/Talus. She has been on Rori for a few years so she would knows alot about Rori/Naboo creatures. She is somewhat knowledgeable about Endor/Dathomir/Lok/Dantooine creatures. She knows very little about the creatures of Yavin 4 as she hasn't been able to get over there, because at the time of the story Luke's Jedi Academy is there and no one is really allowed there unless given permission. She knows what creatures are there from info from files but she hasn't personally seen them or studied them. Her husband is from Tatooine so he knows of the creatures there and she knows about some of them but she has not been to Tatooine, preffering to study those creatures from worlds not many people frequent. Oh, and their kids, three of them, help with this job of hers.

I was wondering if would be my eyes and ears in the SWG world so I can get some info. I need some of your impressions on and describitions of the actions of creatures when not in combat, just interacting with their world, for the worlds my scout knows well, Corellia/Talus and Rori/Naboo. I also need some decribitions of the wilds of Rori as that is where the investigators meet my scout. If someone could get a screenshot of a multi-person camp on Rori I would be eternally grateful. I also need a describition on how some creatures act when in combat. The creatures are as followed:

Crimson Razor Cat
Rill
Carrion Spat
Choku
Dire Cat
Tusk Cat
Grand Wrix
Greater Sludge Panther
Great Plains Stalker

As you can see the gang mostly uses those of the cat species. There is a reason for this and it's told in the story.

To better help me, I need to know how this creatures fight when fighting someone unarmed or using a wood staff or metal staff as the gang doesn't allow those sentient beings fighting to use blasters, carbines, vibroblades or rifles.

I would very grateful if you guys could help me. All info given to me will be credited to those who have given it and I'll inform my readers of this site incase they need info.

Thank you for taking time to read this.

Carrion spats are two-legged, flightless birds. Their legs are strong, rising at impossible opposite angles to meet their rather non-descript bodies. Their heads hang comically from their horizontal necks like a mop hung over a railing to dry.

Carrion spats are the epitome of ugly. Not only their physical appearance, but their sounds and movements as well. Even at rest, they sound pained. They emit a low, raucous squawk that might make one laugh with amusement rather than flee in fear. Their movement is slow, deliberate, almost spastic, but not due to deep concentration. Rather, one might assume that the carrion spat has forgotten how to take a second step to follow up the first. They display a vacuous gaze no matter what situation might arise.

Amazingly, in all of their awkwardness, they become quite endearing. As you spend time with these creatures, you move quickly past repulsion and pity to a bemused compassion. Carrion spats are among the most loyal pets, even allowing their masters to saddle them and ride. They fight with shocking ferocity when called upon to defend their own. And, when all is said and done, you can ask your pet to do a trick for you. If his backward flip doesn't make you chuckle, he probably wouldn't even notice. :)

Dang Z, you should consider getting into the writing business if you're not already. Very nice description of the beast. :D

[b:bdce5e873e]Zurlaboo[/b:bdce5e873e], hehe, thanks for that describition. After reading that a rather funny scene with a Carrion Spat ran through my mind. I'll have to see about doing that. Uh, do Carrion Spats use their beaks or the claws on their feet or both when fighting?

Er, to clarify and make it very easy on you guys, for the impressions of the creatures on Corellia/Talus/Rori/Naboo, I just really need an overview of what you would see in the wild, ie, herds moving across the plains or through the forest, or flocks of birds flying through the air and sounds you hear while on planet, especially on Rori.

For those in my list what I really need to know is how they fight, ie, using teeth, claws, beaks, or whatever.

Thanks again. :)

In all honesty, what you can come up with in your imagination will be far better than anything you will experience in game. While you will see random creatures wandering around the country side, there is generally no rhyme or reason as to what they are doing, where they are going, or why they are there.

Inter-relationships are minimal with only a few predatory type experiences. Just using the data given, stats, and pictures, coupled with abilities and what not can go a long ways towards giving you enough understanding to come up with your own theory or ideas about how those creatures lived.

At any rate, that's definately a nice little write up by Zurl =)
