A suggestion for the index. . .

I was thinking, wouldn't it be better to have the creatures listed by their primary species title instead of their sub-species?

For example, instead of having [b:adcfb065d5]BULL RANCOR[/b:adcfb065d5] listed under B, why not have it listed as RANCOR, BULL. This way all the rancors are listed together under [b:adcfb065d5]R[/b:adcfb065d5]. I think it would make the list more comprehensive and easier for reference. Just a suggestion. :o

I can see it may come in handy when you just want to see the list of rancors.
However, in regular \"advanced search\", this really isn't necessary as you can search by a keyword \"rancor\" and still get all rancors as a result.
Of course, when you are working on DNA lab, your system may come in handy.

How would you list Toxic Merek Battlelord under your system though?
Merek, Toxic Battlelord?

Yeah, that would be nice to be able to do, but I don't really know of a feasible way to do it, short of going through each entry and indexing them by hand.

If there was a way for me to automate it, then it might be something that I could add as an option.

To nytar's question, exactly right. MEREK being the primary phylum, toxic battlelord being the sub or secondary species.

Juntao, couldn't think of a way to automate it, unless there was a way to change the database configuration. Would not want you to have to do all that by hand.

create a new attribute and make it updatable by users...
so you won't have to do it all by YOUR hand, instead we will do it ourself ;)
after all it is for our convenience !
...and that's how the db works already : update by the users :)

just make it showable in the search result so we can know which entry still need to be updated

I have a sugestion for the question the was placed earlier by Nytar. He asked \"How would you list Toxic Merek Battlelord under your system though?
Merek, Toxic Battlelord?\". I would reply to this by how I put it in my own data base, Merek Battlelord, Toxic.

I just created a new field in my database and put, for example Merek in there for the TMB. I like the idea of making updateable by the users here, it'll be done in no time that way.

I could easily add in another field that would allow creatures to be grouped into 'families', the only time consuming part would be retrofitting the search page and such. I'll take a look into it this weekend and see what it would take.
