I tamed a mantigrue screecher, arachne webmaster, swamp stalker, and great plains stalker all on the first try with MCH, Munchies, and taming clothing. Before using munchies and taming clothing, my MCH took 16 tries to tame an arachne webmaster. My sample size is way too small to draw conclusions, but I'm wondering if any other CHs can help me figure this out.
Is using clothing and munchies really that powerful? I'm much more inclined to think that I'm just really lucky not only in finding these guys, but in taming them so quickly. If not though, this could be a great tip for CHs everywhere.

As a master, your natural Tame Vicious is +50. BE clothing adds +25, so right there you have a 50% increase. (If I fail more than twice with just these alone, even on screecher-level creatures, I get surprised.)
I had an early sample of food from a novice chef that was +13, and I imagine if well-made it can go quite a bit higher. At this point there isn't anything within our controllable level that should be a challenge.
(Wookiees add another +10 and non-aggro pets have a base +90, so under those conditions things are even easier.)
