I just started ch not to long ago and got to 2-2-2-3 and now looking at my lvl 20 bio razor cat with 10k health and 9k action and 9k mind and damage 340-360 and looking at various high lvled pets their HAM doesn't get much higher than this lvl 20 creature and the kinetic resistance on this pet is 60 and i haven't seen many high lvl pets up this high... am i reading the descriptions of the pets wrong on this site or do pets not get much better than this lvl 20 razor cat??? and is master rifleman good wit this profession?

BE pets can be [i:30d8be40bd]significantly[/i:30d8be40bd] stronger than their wild cousins. Also the one thing your pet might lack is armor. Light armor halves damage against anything that does not have armor penetration or vulnerabilities to.

As for Rifleman...it is a very good combination with CH. I am master rifleman with 3/3/3/4 CH (hope to make master this weekend). I solo Vor Hunter missions in less than 10min. I have solo'd some force sensitives with Med Armor, 80% resists to everything, and 22k HAM (with pet to tank).
Rifleman also has area attacks (flushing shot 2) that work great with a tanking pet. For Janta/Mokk Shaman Missions, I can send in my pet to get aggro'd by all of them and then just spam Flushing Shot 2 for a few min. It will kill all of them long before my pet goes down.
I don't know much about the PVP side. The CH part doesn't seem to do a whole lot when I fight others.
Hope that helps,

Well thats nice to know Rifleman goes good with CH thanks.. And yea i heard pets dont help with PvP which i wish it did but if not i guess rifleman should hold its own.
All opinions are welcome for the next question...
What pet BE or not do you have or seen and think is the Absolutely best for: 1.Tanking
2.PvP
3.being lvl 23 and having three of them out at a time.....
Thanks for all opinions :)

A vulnerability means the armor is completely ignored for that type of damage. An odd bug is that bonus damage from armor penetration is also ignored.
1) I like a pet with intimidate and stun. The damage reduction is additive, so combined they give a 70% damage reduction (50% and 20% individually).
2) Probably one with dizzy and crippling strike. I don't pvp, however this is a wonderful combination against NPCs. If you don't mind the pet losing vitality, plague strike from mantigrue screechers is devestating.
3) If you can find it, a BE combo. Otherwise a pair or single pet will be best.
In all cases you want a pet with armor. Preferably with 60% kinetic and energy. High heat is good for PvP. Other resistances depend upon what you are hunting but I like one with no vulnerabilities and high resistances fpr everything. Of course getting all of this into one creature can be difficult.
BE pets can sacrifice to-hit and damage to bump HAM and resistances, but as I have no combat skills, I need my pets to be capable all-around.

The vitality loss ... are you referring to the PvP pet death vitality loss that was eliminated after you made that post, or does using Plague Strike cause your pet's vitality to drop?

Master Rifleman and MCH are awesome. With the right attack angle and a good pet, you can take out 4 target nests in pretty short order. Having done alot of stomping of endor and dath, this is the combo for intense resource gathering. (Part of the Ranger line [Tracking 3] completes this template).
Master Rifleman has very good speed and Strafe2's nickname of 'nest killer' is well deserved.
Though, I've dropped Master Rifleman for Smuggler, and the change is groovy. Was going to drop CH for the triple mastery, though no hunting time limits and hunting in shorts and a short sleeve shirt is just too cool.
Also, pets with Initimidation (2nd of Dizzy for my KD shots) and Light armor with 60% Kinetic Resists is awesome. Lantyssa is correct, damage reduction is addictive and easier on the wallet (fewer pet stims).
Good luck and good hunting,
Lars
