This is any \"aggresive\" pet.
There are several macro's available to avoid this behaviour or like your other post you can spam attack and follow or add in a secondary or tertiary attack command.
Aggressive pets will run off and attack things and the \"herbavore\" type creatures I have owned (torton etc) tend to run from a fight.
The above strategy will work as well.
