I agree wholeheartedly with the last post, I will add this comment however.
There is nothing worse than an e-bay character (L33t D00d yells \"How do I get food???!!!) Not that you fall into this category but you have seen it and you are smiling now thinking how silly that person was... :)
That being said, know the profession before jumping into CH mastery.
Do you have your commands down?
Do you know how to effectively use multiple pets?
Are you effective as a CH in a group? etc...
If you are comfortable with the above then I salute you, if not be cautious as with added power comes added responsibility :P
Agonizing as the ladder is, it makes you comfortable with the class.
