Jedi CH?

Hey, can Jedi CH use Jedi mind tricks on sapient critters?
\"You want to bring my a baby bull rancor...\" *waves hand*
Be cool if you could. Like a temporary tame. Maybe during a battle, you could tame one of the attacking critters to fight for you for the duration of the battle?
I don't suppose Jedi can influence creatures though. If they could, we wouldn't have had that gladitorial battle scene in Attack of the Clones.

I'm sure Jedi can. I remember Obi-Wan saying something about the tricks working on weak-minded or weak-willed. The problem with the gladitorial battle is that those creatures were enraged and out for the kill. Perhaps if they were docile or not prodded by the electric batons then they could've been controlled. I think Anakin did calm that one thing down a little after he jumped on it's back and before he threw the chain under it's chin.

Looking at the Force Sensitive skill trees, there is some potential benefit to the CH profession. The Survival branch of the Enhanced Reflexes skill tree will give you a +5 bonus to Camping, Creature Knowledge, Mask Scent, Creature Harvesting, Foraging and Terrain Negotiation and it will do it at the cost of a meager [b:f687b4f229][color=red:f687b4f229]4[/color:f687b4f229][/b:f687b4f229] skill points. We'll have to see if the Persuasion branch or the Luck skill branch will be of any specific use to the CH, but It doesn't appear that they will.

I would imagine 'persuasion' to be the Jedi mind trick stuff.
Luck is intriguing. Each box only raises luck by +1, so it's either some powerful stuff, or a big waste of time :)
I totally botched phase one so I have to wait for it to cycle back around to get survival.

Possibly luck will play into extra bits of damage done by players and our pets?

Luck increases your loot (maybe only credits) slightly.
Persuasion only decreases your costs from a skill trainer.
Some of the powers under the Power tree might have moderate usage. I have no experience with them, so I can't say for certain.

Jedis can control critters. They have 3 commands in the force power tree. Animal Scare, Animal Calm and Animal attack. Scare chases them away. Calm unagros or stops them from attacking you. And Attack makes them attack fo ryou. All these are just guesses to what they do but these abilityies do exist.
