Finding the CL

I was wondering how you can find the CL on a creature? I am a newb CH going for master, and I was just wondering hwo everyone was getting these numbers.

I beleive you can only see this when the creature is tamed. Look at you datapad info, it is near the top. You will see the current level and what it will be when full grown.

Yeah, you can see it when you have tamed the animal, which is really inconvenient, because I would like to know its level before that. Correct me if I'm wrong, I think a ranger can see CL just by examining a creature (don't know if that's a master ranger skill or not), I wish they would add this skill to CH, would be really useful.

The ability to see CL is given at Master Scout.
