FYI...bought a level 20 Kliknik and had him in my deed form for a few days till I got stored peets +3 to make room for him. When I initially tamed him, he came out as a 2/20 instead of 1/20.

Yes, Xanth. Pets grow at 1/10th of max level per tick. So if the pet's max level is 50, it starts at 5 and then go 10, 15, 20 and so on.

[quote:d82945a397]Feeding and caring - Aside from the ideas already pointed out here, some speculate that feeding a pet makes it grow faster. It would need wounds so you could feed it, so it would have to fight as well. Some think that using 'stat food' helps too. Also, some think that the frequency of using tricks helps to stimulaute growth.[/quote:d82945a397]

Actually, your pet doesn't have to be wounded to feed it. It only gets HUNGRY when it is wounded, diseased, etc. If you fight with it every once in awhile, you will be able to feed it every few hours
