what does Base-to-hit mean........

No, I'm kidding :)

It is the percentage of times that your pet's attacks will actually land on their target. The higher the number, the better. A .20 would mean 1 out of 5 hits should land whereas a .50 would mean 1 out of 2 should hit. It is called 'base-to-hit' because it is base percentage before factoring in any other factors such as buffs, 'states' that the enemy might be inflicted with, etc...
