I would love to know exactly what to buy for clothing or is it armor? I have heard of \"tapes\" and \"sockets\" and I have no clue where to buy CH armor/clothing. Whats it called exactly? Is it Ubese armor with sockets in it and I get tapes? How do I apply the tapes and where can I get em? I know these are total newb questions but I really don't know. I am on the Ahazi server if that helps.
thx in advance

Tailors can make certail casual wear with Bio-Engineer produced tissues. These tissues give +Tame Vicious and +Tame Wild. You can have up to +25 in bonuses for any given skill (you can wear more, but only +25 counts).
There should be sticky threads in the Tailor board on the main swg forums that list which clothes can contain these tissues.

None of those BE clothes lets you tame above your CH \"Max number of pet levels\". At noivce, you can only tame up to level12 and nothing in the game changes that (as far as I know).
That shirt you bought gives you a better chance of taming vicious/wild pets. So its helps you tame a pet up to level12 \"easier\". Also, unless you are a wookie, you will have hard time taming vicious creatures (those that show up as a red dot on radar when they are adult). Your shirts should help you tame those vicious creatures.
However, nothing can raise your \"Max number of pet levels\". So at novice you can tame up to level12, and at master you can tame up to level70 (even if you are a wookie). No less, no more...
Hope this helps.

Armor ?
This brings up a good question. What armor is best to wear ? I don't see a listing of what kind of damage creatures make so I've always assumed it was mostly kinetic. If that is true, wouldn't a good set of 75 to 80 percent Ubese be the best for a CH ? I know a good set of Comp would probably have more resists to Acid, Energy etc. but Ubese is good for kinetic and has a smaller encumberance footprint than comp does.
Xanth: Yeah I wear Ubese instead of Comp also. When I need some kinetic protection while hunting, I wear Ubese. If I am out sampling and can't have any encumberance, I just wear maskscent clothes. When I go out to DWB or someplace nasty with guildies, I wear comp with buffs.
I think this has been discussed somewhere, but they say creatures deal different kinds of damages when they use ranged. And I agree. Some creatures deal a heck alot more damage to my pets(light armor 60Kin) when they use ranged than they are in melee range. So this may apply to our armors as well. If we are ganged up by lots of mobs and some are using ranged, we may be in trouble wearing Ubese.

what about ithorrians? i made a new one today, going to me a creature handler later and i wanna join the BEAST guild if im allowed 2, xanth, my char is Juicer there...anyways, ithorrians have the same bonus to creature taming that wookiees have, and im tryin to figure out if they have the same +1 CL modifier that wookiees do...
Anyone have any ideas on what would be best armor for kinetic and low encumb for an ithorrian?
