Are pets overt when called?

I am a covert imp all the time, Ive noticed that when I am grouped with my pet, he sometimes gets the imp symbol like an overt would, it does this even without attacking rebs, and even w/o a tef. My question is can everyone see this, and is the pet really overt?

Id expect it to be, Im not an expert on the subject though.
Vehicles, Harvesters and Factories go overt, so dont see why pets wouldnt.

ah yeah i forgot that harvesters showed overtall the time, but you can't attack them like an overt; so hopefully the pets can't be attacked either. I've had them out in coronet near overt rebs and they were never attacked

I asked someone that was neutral once about my droid when it was showing up Overt to me. They said they couldn't see that it was but I'd like to hear if anyone has had any other encounters.

ok they are not overt, I pulled my bantha in the middle of coronet with overt rebs around and asked if they could attack him they said no it was unattackable so theres my answer
