Certain names are restricted. I have had some names that did not stick. I have read somewhere that all Star Wars related names are restricted.

I tried to name my kaadu \"Bathan\" and it didn't work. Maybe it was too similar to bothan.

I don't think you can name them the names of players either, because once i tried to name one the same name as my friend and it didnt work...added an e on the end tho, and it worked then

2 things that I think are cheesey about some CH's...

One letter commands, no pet should be trained with a...s...f... etc it is just lazy.
Training your pet within earshot with the say command a...a....a...a....a....a People get really annoyed with spammers, this is no different. Use the /tellpet command for all our sakes :P

In order to spice things up I have custom macros for my favourite pets.
The point at a target command is a great idea, I have a level 54 BE Gurrek named Chopper. I use my macro to point at the target and say \"Chopper sic balls...\" Gotta love the movie Stand by Me....

Make the CH a fun hobby and it will give you many happy returns.

Actually, I once was able to name a droid after a friend of mine
