Rares? Or not rares?

Postby superdave202 » Tue Jul 06, 2004 10:35 pm

Never posted on here before, the gallaxy forums are down. Been hunting rares lately and I refer to this website a lot. I tamed a Frenzied Choku and a Skreeg Warrior Elite tonight. Never seen a Frenzied Choku before, it said a 10 rating on the creature rarity! No way! I found one on my first try. Killed a 140 widows and no baby and it's listed a 9.something. Skreeg Warrior Elite was a 8. And I'm still trying for a GPS  . So are these two little creatures rare or just uncommon? The Frenzied Choku is kinda cute :)

Hiya Wooket,

The rarity of the creatures as noted here is based on the contributions of fellow CH's. Many people don't post their data and some may post after having a very bad day, or a very good day, making the data totally subjective. More of a broad guideline than facts etched in stone. :)

Personally, I've never heard of a frenzied choku, but thanks for the heads up. I'll go check them out.

I noticed that the Gaping Spider Queen is listed third on the 'rares' list, yet I got mine from the second lair I came across. Yet I've killed a bazillion Widow lairs and never spawned a baby. That's the beauty of CH, it's randomness makes it wonderfully challenging. :)

One tame at a time,
Zurl

(I haven't gotten a GPS or a Prowling Gurreck yet either, much less a Screecher or a Bull Rancor, but I'm out there every day looking...)

Agreed that the rarity voting is extremely subjective. There was a time when you could vote multiple times for the same creature, not sure if that has been fixed or not.

The interesting one to me is the datapad breakdown, what do other CHs really keep.

I cry whenever someone mentions a gaping spider queen...... Almost had one, not even trying to find it. Saw it on my way to some of the POI's on Dath. Got off my bike, but some of the other spiders aggroed me. Ran around the lair until they finally stopped trying to consume me..... and I was still within 100m of the baby. Started walking toward her, and the darn thing despawned.....

Thanks for info. guys. I sure wish we could hold more than 22 pets, lol. BTW I finally tamed a widow and a GPS, in the same night, about three weeks ago. I was so prode:).

I've search for a gaping spider queen baby as well. Lost a speeder to an adult lol. Now I'm on a hunt for a wild dune boar, thune grassland guardian, and a bile drenched quenker. Does anyone have any info. on tracking down a BDQ spawn? And are they still spawning babies? I've checked the NW corner and have had no luck:(.
