non-CH natural mount pricing?

Postby Gath » Fri Jul 30, 2004 9:21 am

Ive seen that most BE's will take around 1k per CL for \"standard\" pets (ie non-super).

What Im wondering is, what are people charging for trained and ready L10 mounts? Im not even so sure what vehicles are being sold for.

As I guess it differs from server to server then maybe you could give an example of what vehicles go for on your server as well as what you sell the mounts for, for reference?

Thanks in advance

I tame my CL 10 mounts and give them away free for someone else to mount when they grow up...I guess if I mounted them myself i still wouldn't charge :)

I give them away for free too. I know that I would've been very disappointed if I had spent 10K on a creature mount only to find out that my burst run is faster :)

The way I see it is that it's kind of like advertising our profession. Non-CH's can get a taste of what it's like to have a trusted companion at their beck and call. Some might be intrigued enough to take up the profession themselves. I can tell people until I'm blue in the face (oh, wait, I'm a blue rodian! LOL) about how much fun CH is, but until they actually get to command a pet, it's really just so much lip service :)

Yeah i was kinda bribed to become a CH, even thought i already wanted to be one :) While i was out getting hunting exp (Masking scent, riding through crimson razor cats over and over), i saw my friend fighting some Humbabas and he tamed one and gave it to me.

Of course i couldn't use it yet, but after that i spent all my time grinding for CH so i could use it. I've done that a few times with other people too :) i find that it makes a good incentive

I decided to become a CH after I saw a graul beat this guy into the ground in Mos Eisley. I remember I started laughing after the guy ran into a cantina and the graul followed him in :D

actually getting a carrion spat mount from a guild mate is what started my obsession, I then bought all his pets when he quit (hologrinder) But back to question: I would charge maybe 10k for a mount if I charged 8)

I bought a lesser plains bol (for my alt on Corbantis) for 4K and was very pleased. He was still a baby and not yet trained as a mount, but there are lots of CH who frequent the cantina, so training him was no problem and no charge :)

Probably not. But you have to agree - the most fun way to beat a newbie to a pulp is to hide your Rancor behind a building and challenge him to a duel :D

Hence my quest for master begins. Slowwwwly.
