How many pets for non-CHs?

hey there

i have a question. how many pets can a non-CH store in his datapad? because Im now the unmeantioned owner of an angler and a rancor which i tamed for 2 players. but i couldnt give them back, the message was: this person has too many pets. transfer failed. one person didnt even has another pet and the other guy only had a lesser bol. is this problem about the number of pets they are able to store or is it about the pet level? the angler has level 30 and the rancor 49.
because last week i gave two BEd pets with high levels to a friend of mine with no CH skills and he could actually take 2 of them!! they were already tamed. he has them now in his inventory.
i dont know what it is. but one thing is for sure. ill never tame high level pets for non-CH people anymore.. my datapad is full enough :?

yeah, non-CH can only hold two pets...and something like this happened to me before. Try having them relog, and it should work

And make sure the pet isn't vicious. I had that problem where he could not get the pet back even though it was a level 7

I think the droids do count as a pet because I had one and couldn't put a new pet into my datapad. Just destroyed the droid and then the pet could go in.

hmm droids should be counted seperatly, you can have 4 droids and non-ch can have 2 pets, your waypoint also take up space in datapad, if oyu have too many of them itll keep you from adding

Droids count seperately yes and I think its 4 droids like mini-me said.

The check on number of pets is only really done when you try to tame or accept a trade though, so if a CH wants to drop CH to do something else temporarilly (like for instance trying to get one more master for jedi quest before thats removed) they can keep all their pets.
